Steven Kernis, MD

Dr. Steven Kernis is the owner of Premier Heart which he founded in 2019. Upon receiving his bachelor’s of science degree from the University of Michigan in 1993 and his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1997, he completed an internal medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic in 2001.

Following this, he finished his cardiovascular fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital in 2004 and interventional cardiology fellowship at the Mid America Heart Institute in 2005.

He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. For 25 years, Dr. Kernis has practiced cardiovascular medicine in hospital and office settings as well as performing over 20,000 catheter procedures, including interventions on the heart and on the arteries of the heart and body.
